The day Corona came to our neighborhood, for the first time in my life I thought to myself, THIS could be the End of me!
I asked myself: What could my paintings look like if the man had never existed on this planet ?!
At the time, I wasn’t sure I could survive Corona (I’m still not sure), so I had to do the last thing in my life before they took me away!
I started digging into my paintings to find out an answer.
Finally, I could see my painting Human free!
So I erased human figures and left my paintings to themselves.
It was all funny thoughts, of course, but I love to share them with you.
To be totally honest I can tell that much more serious questions occupied me:
What could this world look like if our species had never appeared on this planet?
What the world will miss if we disappear?
Can we be proud of what we brought to this world?
Can we change?
Can we stop with stupid things we are doing?
Can we surround us and accept that we are not the center of the universe?
Can we wake up?
Those are not philosophical questions but dilemmas of a being.
Remove Human figures from some paintings is easy and even funny but taking our human responsibilities
towards our existence and our world can be difficult, but it is what it takes to survive our species.
I love the world much more with us in it.
The universe will indeed miss something without us, therefore it gave us many chances to change and to adapt to the true world.
To deserve to be HERE we must be useful at least to the ecosystem!
