After the so-called revolution in my home country of Iran in 1978,
I drew political cartoons for several publications until 1980, when it became too risky to continue.
Since 1993, I have resumed this work in the Netherlands, drawing for Rotterdams Dagblad (Daily Rotterdam)
and later for many other Dutch publishers, including Vrij Nederland, Vice Versa, and Trouw.
My political cartoons have been published worldwide in many different newspapers,
including La Repubblica, Stern, and Nebelspalter.
They have also been featured on several international platforms such as Cagle.com and Cartoon Movement.
I have received multiple awards for my work, including the Pers & Prent Award in 2011 and the Be-Ne Cartoon Award in 2003.
In 2024 a collection of my political cartoons has been honored by being included in the Atlas van Stolk,
the prestigious collection of historical images of the Netherlands.
