ARGON PAINTINGS 3

ARGON
My
Daily Painting Ritual

For several years, I have begun each day with a simple ritual: I paint.

Before the noise and demands of the day take over, I enter a spacewhere I do not know what the painting will become.
I work intuitively, allowing my hand, colour, rhythm and movement to lead.
I do not begin with a fixed composition or a predetermined image.

This daily practice has grown into ARGON — an ongoing body of abstract paintings in which the process itself is the purpose.

Each painting is an autonomous fragment: a moment, a breath, a visual sound.
Yet together, the works form a larger, continuously changing whole.
There is no final composition and no single answer.
The paintings remain in movement, as I remain in movement.

After more than fifty years of working with images, stories, symbolism and structure, beginning with cartoons and absurdist art
ARGON represents a gradual shift from control towards trust, from knowing towards not-knowing.

The name ARGON, referring to the colourless and invisible noble gas, has become for me a metaphor for a state of connection
without domination, unity without uniformity, and freedom without separation
.

ARGON is not a style or a finished series.
It is a daily practice of presence, letting go and becoming.
As the work emerges, I am shaped by it too.
